ClearCorrect Aligners FAQ’s

What is ClearCorrect aligners?

ClearCorrect is an alternative option to braces that continues to grow in popularity. The system involves a series of strong, clear plastic appliances that fit perfectly over your teeth. Every few weeks, you get a new aligner that moves your teeth into a slightly straighter position as you wear it.

The whole process starts with a consultation. During this consultation appointment, we examine the current positioning of your teeth to determine whether or not ClearCorrect is a good alignment option for you. We can even create a 3D digital image of your teeth and map their projected movement for you to preview.

How often will I need to wear my ClearCorrect aligners?

Unlike traditional wire braces, your ClearCorrect appliances are removable. You may take your ClearCorrect aligners out to eat, drink, brush, and floss. In total, you can expect to wear them for 20-22 hours per day.

Depending on the starting position of your teeth, the entire alignment process usually takes between 12 and 18 months. Your dentist will tell you how long your treatment plan will take based on your needs, but you’ll start seeing an improvement in just a matter of weeks.

What are the benefits of ClearCorrect aligners?

When compared to traditional braces, ClearCorrect is the better option for many, but not all, patients.

  • Discreet, nearly-invisible appliances
  • No dietary restrictions
  • No obstructions to flossing or brushing
  • Controlled single-tooth movement
  • Remote monitoring options

When discussing your teeth-straightening options, your dentist helps you explore the benefits and drawbacks of all of your choices. They choose the best option for you based on the starting position of your teeth, your goals, and your lifestyle.
